On December 10, the launching ceremony for "Exploring the Ocean" Marine Research and Study Tour of Chengyang District, Qingdao was held at the Qingdao Science and Technology Museum. Organized by the Marine Development Bureau of Chengyang District, Qingdao, this event aims to explore the potential of high-quality marine scientific research resources, optimize regional marine research resources allocation, enhance the marine science literacy of the youth, and improve the public's understanding of the ocean. Experts from research institutions such as the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, and the Marine Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as teachers and students representatives in Chengyang, were invited to attend the launching ceremony.

At the launching ceremony, leaders from the Qingdao Association for Science and Technology, marine research institutes, Qingdao Science and Technology Museum, the Marine Development Bureau of Chengyang District, and the Chengyang District Association for Science and Technology jointly announced the official launch of the event. Subsequently, a batch of marine science books were donated to seven schools in Chengyang by the Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology of the China Geological Survey, the Qingdao Science and Technology Museum, the Chengyang Office of the Shandong Fishery Mutual Insurance Association, as well as three marine-related enterprises in Qingdao. Finally, the "Ocean Bookstore" initiative was launched at the event.
The event also featured a marine science lecture given by experts from the Marine Science Research Institute of Shandong Province to the students. At the end of the event, all the attendees visited the Qingdao Science and Technology Museum, experiencing its marine science and technology innovation as well as the cultural atmosphere.
