On January 26, the Fourth Session of the 13th Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Jinan, east China's Shandong Province. Members of CPPCC Shandong Provincial Committee, representing various political parties, groups, and sectors across all ethnic groups, will participate in in-depth consultations and discussions, fulfill their duties, and build consensus around the theme of "taking the lead and shouldering major responsibilities" in writing a Shandong chapter of Chinese modernization.

A total of 889 CPPCC members are expected to attend the conference, with 852 members present.
At the conference, Ge Huijun, Chairperson of the CPPCC Shandong Provincial Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC Shandong Provincial Committee. Liu Jungang, Vice Chairperson of the CPPCC Shandong Provincial Committee, reported on the work concerning submitted proposals since the opening of the Third Session of the 13th Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC.
