On July 11, the 2025 CFDG Youth Film Festival (Yantai) kicked off in Yantai City, east China's Shandong Province. Filmmakers gathered together to explore the path of film development.

　　Following the dialogue session themed “The Growth of Youth Directors: Creation in Progress”, the opening film Only the River Flows, as well as Gone With The Boat, a film directed by Chen Xiaoyu, the director of the Fifth CFDG Youth Film Directors Support Program, began their screenings.

　　The 2025 CFDG Youth Film Festival (Yantai) is a screening event of the Youth Film Directors Support Program organized by CFDG (China Film Directors' Guild). This 4-day event will screen 10 films and feature 5 masterclasses and dialogue sessions.

　　This year's film festival has sparked a cinematic craze in Yantai. On the first day of ticket sales, nearly all screenings were sold out, demonstrating the local audience's enthusiasm for young directors' works and their anticipation for this cultural event. In addition to the film screenings, the festival also features a number of masterclasses and dialogue sessions, offering citizens more opportunities to engage closely with films.
