During the 2026 May Day holiday, the 2.0 version of the Qingdao Qihuan Shanhaijian Scenic Area (formerly the Qingdao Shanhaijian Everbright City) made its grand debut following a comprehensive revitalization. Through systematic enhancements—including business model updates, upgraded live performances, and brand expansion—the scenic area has transformed from a singular night-time cultural tourism district into a large-scale, immersive cultural tourism destination operating around the clock. Powered by new technologies and integrated with a series of premier sporting events, this latest upgrade injects fresh vitality into Qingdao's holiday cultural tourism market.

Since May 1st, the venue has transitioned to a full-day operational schedule, running daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 am every day, offering a full 12 hours of non-stop service. It features upgraded performances and NPC interactions, with over 200 shows staged daily on average, covering diverse formats such as language performances, theatrical acts, stunt shows, and live-action role-playing games (LARPs). Complementing these attractions are signature features such as drone light shows involving nearly a thousand units, the centuries-old intangible cultural heritage of "iron flowers striking", an international grand circus, and a robotics experience center. Breaking through previous limitations on nighttime operations, the venue has successfully established an immersive, all-day recreational environment.

A single entrance ticket model has been launched at the scenic area, where one ticket covers all attractions and remains valid for three days. Alongside this, favorable policies have been rolled out, including discounted annual passes and free admission for eligible visitors. With affordable pricing, visitors no longer need to purchase multiple tickets and can experience all core attractions of the park seamlessly in one visit.
