On April 19, the 42nd Weifang International Kite Festival and 2025 Weifang Kite Carnival kicked off at the World Kite Park in Weifang, east China's Shandong province.

　　The kite festival, themed "Fly Your Dreams, Embrace the Peace",  brought together 257 kite delegations from 51 countries and regions this year, including about 70 overseas kite delegations. Kite enthusiasts from both China and rest of the world shared their expertise and enjoyed kites flying under the same sky. Incredible kites of different shapes and unique designs were soaring up to the sky, creating a stunning spectacle.

　　During the kite festival,  new consuming scenarios were developed through kite-related events, and over 60 series of activities - including kite competitions, cultural tourist promotion, sports events, and economic and commercial cooperation- were included. Weifang is dedicated to transforming the kite festival into an all-encompassing platform that will help increase investment as well as consumption.
